Experimental Narrative Initial Ideas.
My Idea I want to make a shocking and fervent video, therefore I decided it needed to be based on something I feel passionate about…. Vegetarianism-People have all different opinions on vegetarianism, both for and against. I, being a vegetarian myself feel rather strong about this subject. Therefore I feel I would be able to create a dramatic piece that would shock and cause a stir from the audience.
Influences • As a class we were shown this video in lecture and I thought it was very interesting yet also very beautiful. • My initial idea to is incorporate this kind of movement within my final piece. • I wanted to get the message across that animals are just as beautiful and innocent as a human beings, in an abstract way, that would also not be shoving the message down the viewers throats.
Initial Ideas • I want to experiment with camera angles and timing. • I want to try and make my piece as abstract as possible, so by using unusual camera angles and different time speeds, I believe I am going to be able to create this effect. • The only clear representation I plan to use is red paint. The red liquid form is an instant symbol for blood. I think this will add a more dramatic and siniser tone to the piece.
My Final Outcome • I am not sure what my final piece is going to turn out like, as although I have various ideas in my head. I want to just ‘go with the flow’. I think this will add to the brief in being ‘experimental’.
