  5. The Problem • How many people think the kitchens have surround sound? • How many people have used surround sound in the kitchens? • Most people just want to watch TV or play DVDs in the kitchens • The current equipment is out of date and hard to use

  6. The Solution • Simplify the A/V Systems • Removing unnecessary components from the kitchen systems will makes the systems simpler to use and more reliable • This has been proved with the TV's in the 4th and 6th floor lounges • Residents can still attach their own components • Removing components will also reduce the temptation for residents to “self diagnose” problems

Officer Recruitment Timeline • March: • Nominations dinner instead of House meeting (Tuesday, March 6, 2007) • SPEC nominations open for two weeks • Committee chair applications open after SPEC nominations close • Committee chair applications open for two weeks (could be longer) • April: • SPEC elections during House meeting (Tuesday, April 3, 2007) • HC nominations open during House meeting • HC nominations open for two weeks • Meet the HC candidate events in late April • May: • New House Council takes office
