  1. It's time for some trashketball!!!

  2. Every Person in your group needs a piece of paper, a pencil, graph paper, and a calculator. • Every Person in your group needs a letter, either T, R, A, S, or H. Put that letter and your group number at the top of your paper (both sides), If you have less than 5 in your group one person will have more than one letter on their paper. • Every Person will write down the problem and solve it on their paper (you may get help from the members in your group). • Only the person whose letter I call will come up and show me their paper. • You get one point for a correct answer. • If correct, you can shoot for bonus points. 2 from the two point line or 3 from the three point line. How to Play

  3. 1. Write an equation of the line in slope intercept form. y = 2x - 3

  4. 2. Write an equation of the line in slope intercept form.

  5. 3. Write an equation of a line that passes through the points. ( 2, 5 ) , ( 0, 5) Y = 5

  6. 4. You organize a garage sale. You have $30 at the beginning of the sale. You earn an average of $20 per hour. Write an equation that represents the amount of money y you have after x hours. y = 20x + 30

  7. 5. Write an equation of the line with the given slope that passes through the given point. y = -3x - 1 m = -3 , (1, -4)

  8. 6. Write an equation of the line with the given slope that passes through the given point.

  9. 7. For 3 months you have saved $25 a month. You now have $100 in your savings account. • Draw a graph that shows the balance in your account after x months. • Write an equation that represents the balance (y) after x months. • How much money was in your account to start?

  10. 7. A. B. y = 25x + 25C. $25 dollars

  11. 8. Write an equation of the line with the given slope that passes through the given point.

  12. 9. Write an equation of a line that passes through the points. ( 2, 3 ) , ( 4, 4)

  13. 10. Write an equation of a line that passes through the points. ( -3, 0 ) , ( -2, 3)

  14. 11. It costs $375 to book a DJ for 3 hours. It costs $525 to book the same DJ for 5 hours. Write an equation that represents the cost y in dollars of booking a DJ for x hours. y = 75x

  15. 12. Write an equation of the line that passes through the points. y = -x + 9

  16. 13. Write an equation of the line that passes through the points.

  17. 14. After 3 weeks, a corn plant is 2 feet tall. After 9 weeks, the plant is 8 feet tall. Write an equation that represents the height y (in feet) of the corn plant after x weeks? y = x - 1

  18. 15. Write an equation of a line that passes through the points. ( 4, 0 ) , ( 0, 4) Y = 4

  19. 16. Write an equation of the line with the given slope that passes through the given point. y = 2x + 2 m = 2 , (2, 6)

  20. 17. A 3-week old kitten weights 12 ounces. At 5 weeks it weighs 18 ounces. How old is the kitten when it weights 27 ounces? (HINT: graph) 8 weeks

  21. 18. Write an equation of a line that passes through the points. ( -1, 5 ) , ( 3, -3) Y = -2x + 3
