Goals and Objectives • System for the storage and retrieval of “flashcards” to aid a student in the organization of study materials. • Reduce the clutter associated with the transportation and organization of standard 3x5 index cards.
Why would we want this? • Index cards are hard to organize and transport. • The more you have the easier it is to lose them. • The same amount of data fit onto one disk. →
What are the advantages? • More efficient organization. • Better use of study time. • Easier transportation. • Can make backups of your information. • Copy one disk instead of manually re-writing each card.
What do I need to use this system? • IBM/PC Compatible computer • Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 operating system • Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime libraries.(included in the distribution)

About the Development Process • Rapid Application Development model. • Visual Basic - its automated tools were used to facilitate construction of the software. • Microsoft Access → VB high interoperability. • Reduced overall testing time since VB and Access components were already known to work well together.
