Gen 9:20-23 • And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
Mat 24:37-39 • But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Pro 20:1 • Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
Isa 28:1-3 • Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine! Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand. Isa 5:11 • Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! • Woe = Deep distress or misery, as from grief; wretchedness
Isa 5:21-23 • Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Luk 12:45-46 • But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

Didn’t Jesus…. • Old Law did not expressly forbid drinking. Only when it was to excess. • This is an example from Old covenant times so…………….. • The Old Law made a couple of • exceptions ………………
Leviticus 10:8-10 • And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying, Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: • #1 Strong's H 3196 "Fermented wine" • #2 H7941From H7937; an intoxicant, that is, intensely alcoholic liquor:
Leviticus 10:10 • And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; • Could not drink when going in the presence of God
Proverbs 31:4-5 • It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. • Kings and Princes shouldn’t drink at all.
