Whole Foods and Carnival both utilize Twitter to engage with their customers, provide updates, and answer questions. They maintain an active presence, share relevant content, and refer followers to their websites, all while maintaining their brand image.

WHOLE FOODS &CARNIVAL ON TWITTER. Valarie Crawford
WHOLE FOODS. • Had a very active twitter page in that…. • They were very good about responding to anything that the consumers threw at them, whether it be about the products they carry or about how to get a job at Whole Foods in the consumers area. • They referred followers to their website but were not pushy in anyway. • They kept customers up to date on new locations opening and invited everyone to join.
WHOLE FOODS CONT. • While also just having tweets like this: Happy Saturday! Hope it's beautiful and sunny where you are cause we have some great grilling tips to share! http://cot.ag/9ChQqD. That are very reflective of their image. • I do think that what Whole Foods is doing with their twitter is sustainable. They are quick to respond to followers, whether it be thanking them, answering a question or even answering to a consumer that wasn’t so happy about a product they carried. They utilize twitter well in combination to their websites.
CARNIVAL CRUISE • Keeps their followers active with exciting information about Stars that use their cruise line as well as asking the followers questions about their company such as “What’s your favorite port and why?” • Very good responding to followers, whether it be about the trip they just went on, an upcoming trip or a picture they have posted. • They tweeted almost everyday, although they weren’t to pushy or persistent.
CARNIVAL CRUISE CONT. • They had a fun little thing called the Carnival Comic that they posted a picture of for their followers. Utilizing “Twit Pic” well. • They referred people back to their website in an informative/specific way. Example: Cruise Rookies...need some cruising 101? All you need to know to pack in peace, is right here. http://tinyurl.com/34v7nko4:06 PM May 6th via web • Overall I do believe that Carnival is sufficient with their twitter page, they seemed to keep it up daily, refer followers to their website, answer to followers and represent their company in a upbeat positive way.
