Changes to the 2001-05 Area Plan Guidance 1. The following Appendices have been removed: • Strategic Cross-Reference Index Table (CDA will provide this table per AAA request) • Appendix 1 Service Matrix • Appendix VII Corporate Eldercare 2. Electronic entry is required for the four sections of the Plan listed below. Electronic entry helps to streamline the development and completion of the plan. The following forms are available on the CDA website: • Transmittal Letter • Area Plan Checklist • Service Unit Plan Objectives • All Appendices
Changes to the 2001-05 Area Plan Guidance 3. The Transmittal Letter language has been changed to include a passage related to the Assurances. 4. The Reference Guide reflects integration of the Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP), which is Title IIIE of the OAA 2000 Amendments. The FCSP has not been incorporated into the Older Californians Act or the California Code of regulations. Program Memo 03-10, located on the CDA website, may be used as a planning guide for eligible services.
Changes to the 2001-05 Area Plan Guidance 5. Some questions related to the Planning forCalifornia’s Baby Boomer Population for 2005-2009 have been integrated into the Guidance. CDA encourages all AAAs to plan and report activities related to this population. Questions related to planning activities are integrated into Part One: Area Plan Background, Section B. 6. A guide for Program Development andCoordination has been integrated into the Goals and Objectives Section under Required Content.
Changes to the 2001-05 Area Plan Guidance 7. A Goals and Objectives Format is included in this Reference Guide to provide a format for AAAs to easily structure and record Goals and Objectives. See Part Two: Area Plan Goals and Objectives, Section B. 8. The Service Unit Plan has been revised to meet data collection requirements for the four-year planning cycle. 9. The Assurances have been updated to reflect the 2000 Amendments to the OAA.
