Implementation/Deployment/Startup Tasks VeriFone Manufacturing • Load Operating System • Load “core” software package, including: • VSP Root & Prov keys • VMAC, CommServer, EMA applications (no merchant parameters) Notes: • Terminal will display NO APPLICATIONS PRESENT after core load • Power Down terminal immediately after core load boot up • The SoftPay Connect app is NOT part of the core load

Implementation/Deployment/Startup Tasks Deployment Center • Add terminal record to Clearwater VeriCentre • Use terminal serial number as VeriCentre Terminal ID • Add terminal record to PAYware Connect portal • Power up terminal, using CAT5 cable for IP connectivity • Terminal will display NO APPLICATIONS PRESENT upon bootup • Allow ~1 minute for EMA app to automatically check for updates • The Update Report will print, and NO APPLICATIONS PRESENT will again appear in the terminal display • If the Update Check attempt fails, make sure terminal has been added to VC, and check to make sure CommServer says Connected: YES • If the Update Check needs to be run manually, see instructions below

Implementation/Deployment/Startup Tasks Deployment Center (continued) • Manually perform a VC Update to download SoftPay Connect app, plus all apps/parms listed on the Update Check report, as follows: • Press “9” to open EMA app • Select Update Now • The terminal will connect via IP to the PAYware Connect gateway, pull all prescribed apps and parameters, and then reboot and open the SoftPay Connect app • The terminal will automatically connect to the PAYware Connect gateway and initialize the terminal (i.e., admin packet will be sent) • Terminal will display “Init Request Successful” and open the SoftPay Connect application • If init is unsuccessful, make sure terminal record is set up properly on the PAYware Connect portal so an admin packet request can occur • If terminal needs to be initialized manually, see instructions below

Implementation/Deployment/Startup Tasks Deployment Center (continued) • Press asterisk key (*) to return to VMAC menu screen • EMA will automatically perform another VC Update Check after ~1 minute, and print a new Update Report • The top of the report should now show TERMINAL IS UP-TO-DATE and “Status Msg: 510-No Updates Available” in the UPDATE-CHECK section • The terminal will automatically return to the VMAC menu • Power down the terminal

  11. Implementation/Deployment/Startup Tasks Merchant • Power up terminal • Terminal will boot up and open into the main SoftPay Connect menu • Run a test transaction, as per training instructions • Start processing transactions

Terminal “how-to” procedures How to perform a manual EMA Update Check • From VMAC menu screen, press “9” to open EMA app • Select Update Check • If report shows TERMINAL IS UP-TO-DATE, there is no need to perform an update • If report shows UPDATES ARE AVAILABLE, select Update Now • The terminal will connect to PAYware Connect gateway and pull all prescribed applications and parameters

Terminal “how-to” procedures How to perform a manual EMA Update Now • From VMAC menu screen, press “9” to open EMA app • Select Update Now • The terminal will connect to PAYware Connect gateway, and the message “Requesting updates…” will appear on terminal screen • The terminal will pull all prescribed applications and parameters • The terminal will reboot after downloading is complete Note: If “Update-check Required” appears, manually perform an EMA Update Check and then select Update Now again if the Update Check says UPDATES ARE AVAILABLE.

Terminal “how-to” procedures How to initialize terminal on PAYware Connect gateway • From the main SoftPay Connect menu screen, press the green ENTER key go into CONFIGURATION; then select ADMIN • The terminal will connect to the PAYware Connect gateway and initialize • The message “Init Request Successful” will display to indicate the terminal is now initialized Note: Initializing the terminal on the PAYware Connect gateway may also be referred to as “sending an Admin Packet”
