SES versus CABG for unprotected left main stenosis Objective To compare SES and CABG in patients with uLMCAstenosis. Study: Multi center, randomized, non inferiority trial. Population: Symptomatic patients with an isolated ULM ostialmidshaft or bifurcation stenosis. Consensus between surgeon and cardiologist on eligibility. Endpoint: Noninferiority in freedom from MACE (composite of cardiac death, MI, TVR) at f-up.

SES versus CABG for unprotected left main stenosis Conclusion: In patients with ULM stenosis, DES implantation is inferior to CABG at 12 months f-up, mainly driven by repeat revascularizations. For hard points PCI results are favourable. Freedom from angina was similar between groups. Stroke was not in primary end-point. Boudriot et al. J Am Col Cardiol 2011;57:538-545
