Description Huawei is about to release the newest model in the Mate series called the Huawei Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Pro, both the successor of the previous year’s Mate 20. Huawei is about to release the Mate 30 pro which is one of the freshest design, totally different from its predecessor Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro. The Mate 30 lineup includes three flagship devices; the Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, and the Porsche Design Mate 30 RS. The Mate 30 Pro model has a new curved “Horizon” OLED display with support for M-Pen and various gestures that will replace the volume keys. It will run on the new Kirin 990 chip, and has a 4,500 mAh battery with super-fast wired and wireless charging. The new Mate 30 Pro introduces an upgraded Leica camera, this time with a focus on videos.
The Design The new Huawei’s Mate 30 Pro is said to feel like a premium flagship in hands mostly due to its curved display. The screen curves smoothly around the phone that is kind of similar to Samsung S7 Edge. The phones dimensions are 8.8 mm x 73.1 mm x 158.1 mm, thickness, width and height respectively. The phone weighs around 198 grams and is IP68 certified waterproof. It is also dustproof and water-resistant. Mate 30 Pro has decided to go with one of the taller displays with a notch that carries dual cameras. The main camera is a set of triple cameras centered horizontally in the back. The triple cameras are arranged in a circular way and the flash is on the top-left corner. On the bottom are the USB Type-C port and the loud speaker grill. The shooting modes available are the continuous shooting and the HDR mode among various basic modes.
The Performance The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is stacked with features that give it an edge in the performance scales. First of all, the Mate 30 Pro has the HI Silicon Kirin 990 as the chipset with an Octa-core (2.86 GHz, Dual-core, Cortex A76 + 2.09 GHz, Dual-core, Cortex A76 + 1.86 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A55) processor. This provides one of the best performances for any mid-range or high-end phone. For the graphics, it uses the Mali-G76 MP16, which could be one of the best graphics chips for gaming and visuals.
