  3. How to Round Numbers Decide which is the last digit to keep Leave it the same if the next digit is less than 5 (this is called rounding down) 0 1 2 3 4 The PLACE being rounded “stays” the same. (EXAMPLE: 53 rounded to nearest 10 will stay at 50)

  4. But increase it by 1 if the next digit is 5 or more (this is called rounding up) 5 6 7 8 9 ( Example: 57 rounded to nearest 10 will “go up” to 60)
