  3. The origin of Hinduism • The principles of the Vedas. • Hinduism is often referred to as Sanātana Dharma (a Sanskrit phrase meaning "the eternal law") • An eternal quest for Truth and Truth is God.

  4. Religion areas • Hinduism is the world's third largest religion, after Christianity and Islam.

Characteristic of Hindu • Hinduism can be retroactive to the Indus culture of BC 2000 and includes Brahman which was formed  after the invasion of Irish during the BC 2,000 to BC 1,500 • In the narrow meaning, the Brahman • It doesn't have any specific religious head or formation and includes various kind of  myth, temples, legend and ceremony systems.

  9. Characteristic of Hindu • Specific ideology of Hindu : transmigration, karma, the way of deliverance, taking a serious view of moral activities and devoted religion.  • Already begin to show in ancient (Upanishad) and it is especially expressed when it reached to the (Mahabharata).

  10. Characteristic of Hindu • This kind of ideology had influenced in cultivating  moralism of India • on the other hand, it also became one of the courses to disturb the development of society • Hinduism degree does not eat beef and abstains from fish and meat at sacredness.

  11. The Gods of Hinduism • Only one true "god" at the center of Hinduism : Brahman = the Ultimate Reality, and the World Soul. : Vishnu, Shiva

  13. Symbol • Aum : a symbol of Hindu faith • The symbol comes from Devnagiri, a script based on Sanskrit, from which many Indian and other languages have emerged.

Symbol • Om is the universal name of the Lord. • the letters A (phonetically as in "around") U (phonetically as in "put") M (phonetically as in "mum"). : The three letters symbolize- the three states (waking, dreaming, and deep sleep),- the three deities (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva), - the three Vedas (Rig, Yajur, and Sama), and - the three worlds (Bhuh, Bhuvah, Suvah).
