FRTA 1.5 • Remove all obsolete rules in FRTA 1.0 • Modify existing rules, if needed • Add new rules, if any Soon to be available as a Public Working Draft….for your comments
Change from FRTA 1.0 • 19 Rules have been removed • 11 Rules have been modified • 1 Rule has been added • Deleted the Extension taxonomy section
Change from FRTA 1.0 • All “may” rules were deleted • Reason for deletion/modification: • To avoid contradiction with dimensions specifications • To remove any obsolete rules (like 12 character prefix) • Remove rules already imposed by the XBRL 2.1 specification • To make some rules more precise
Next Steps • Short Term • Define the scope of Financial Reporting • Identify the rules/practices that govern various taxonomies across countries for Financial Reporting • Consolidate and include the rules to be included in FRTA 1.5 or published as a separate document • Long Term • Create a logical model aligned with the XSB’s Abstract model for Financial Reporting • Identify various other reporting profiles, establishing guidance documents for them • Continue with logical modeling of other reporting profiles
Challenges • Challenging to get large number of different ideas of taxonomy architectures under one roof • Lack of adequate volunteers to contribute to the Working Group
