  2. About Us :- Serving Your Advanced Ceramics Needs Since 1987 Ceramic Technologies Corp. was founded in 1987. Jeff Epstein started as a Metallurgical Engineer from the Colorado School of Mines. The company quickly grew and by 1995, had sales over $ 1 million per year. Sales doubled again by the year 2000. The company established a niche in oilfield wear part applications. In fact, a US Patent was awarded to the company for a ceramic oilfield application. In 1998, advanced razor blades became a major focus for the company. International distributors contributed to a highly successful line of ceramic coated industrial razor blades used to slit plastic film and foil. The company was a pioneer in this market and quickly built-up a significant world- wide customer base. In April 2005, the company sold its blade division to Specialty Blades Corporation.
