Consolidated Inquiry Overview The Consolidated Inquiry (CI) is a verification tool that is used at application, redetermination, semi-annual contact and mid-cert contact. All available automated systems such as the Consolidated Inquiry must be run to see if income has started, stopped or changed. The Consolidated Inquiry is one available verification source for Unemployment Income, Child Support, Wage Matches, Home Help Income, and the State Supplemental payment for SSI Recipients.
1. The Consolidated Income Inquiry - Search page displays. Notice that there are multiple tabs at the top of the page. You can click these tabs to find information about: New Hires, Child Support, Other Income, and Unemployment Compensation. 2. Enter the client’s Individual # or SSN. 3. Click Search.
Review the Consolidated Income Summary to determine which tabs will contain information. The Summary Page will display YES or NO to verify if income is or isn’t being received by the client. Best Practice is to click all Tabs to review possible income.
Click the Unemployment Compensation tabto view information about unemployment compensation benefits. 1. Enter the Individual # (if it is not already pre-filled) or social security number. 2. Click Search. 3. The Search Results display at the bottom of the page. The Unemployment Summary will display the client’s Unemployment Income Record. Information though the interface may lag up to one week.
1. Click the Other Income tab to view information about other income the individual receives. 2. Enter the Individual # (if it is not already pre-filled). 3. Click Search. 4. The Search Results display at the bottom of the page. Types of Income that are listed under the Other Income tab include Adult Home Help, MSHDA and CDC Provider Income.
1. Click the Child Support tab to view information about child support. 2. Enter the Individual # or SSN and the Payer Type. You may also search by Court Order # and Order County. 3. Click Search. 4. The Child Support information displays at the bottom of the page. The Child Support Payment screen will display the details of the Child Support Record such as the summary of the Child for whom support is ordered, the Order Details, Payee and Payer information. Special codes are used on the Child Support screens to indicate categories of payment types by the Office of Child Support.
