  2. FIFA Standards • No international synthetic standards • People look at the International sport federation for the standards • FIFA issue their Standards (Handbook) – 2015 • Changes are focused on the future for players and owners – heat, durability and performance

FIFA Standards (cont) • Name change • FIFA 1 Star – FIFA Quality • FIFA 2 Star – FIFA Quality PRO • Durability • Changed the machine to be more realistic • Lisport (5,200/20,200) to 2,500/6,000 cycles • FIFA Quality PRO retested every 12 months • FIFA Quality retested every 3 years (from 4) • Can’t go from FIFA 2 to 1 star if fails • Consistency • Tests now outside playing area as well as inside • Ball roll reduced • Standards clearer between the two
