  2. What is Own the Podium (OTP)? OTP is the most aggressive sport technical initiative in Canadian history. It provides the support and services required to put Canadian athletes on the podium at the 2010 Games. A NEW APPROACH FOR CANADA

  6. Where We Are At CANADA’S ASCENT TO THE TOP At the end of the 2006/07 season, Canada was ranked 3rd among all winter-sport nations. At the end of the 2007/08 season, Canada was ranked 2nd among all winter-sport nations. Canada is closing the gap with Germany. In 2008/09, Canada finished 1st overall in World Championship medal counts and 2nd in Paralympic events.
