  1. Chad Clift Founder of Swanky’s Chad Clift founded Swanky’s in Mossy Rock, Washington. Chances are, you haven’t heard of it. That’s okay with Clift, however. He founded Swanky’s so that he could bring a big city atmosphere to a small town, his small town, in fact. Clift moved to New York to complete his degree in culinary arts and returned to build his career among his friends in Mossy Rock. Chad Clift earned a Culinary Arts degree from one of the top chef schools in the United States. In 2000, Clift graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in New York City. Clift, rather than remain in New York and work in one of the main global nodes of the food industry, moved back home to his small town of Mossy Rock on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.

He moved back to his hometown in Mossy Rock, Washington, where he founded his own restaurant, Swanky’s. Clift brought his expertise and drive to his hometown in the form of this restaurant because he wanted to give a small town the big city experience in food.Chad Clift hails from Mossy Rock, Washington, a soggy town in the rainiest area in the United States. Clift attended Mossy Rock High School and moved across the country to New York City after graduation. He wanted to be a Head Chef at a fancy restaurant in New York. Clift found Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in New York and graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. Instead of staying in New York to fulfill his childhood dream and catch on with a fancy restaurant as a kitchen grunt, Clift returned to his tiny hometown of Mossy Rock to use his culinary skill there. After he returned, he founded Swanky’s.

  3. Chad Clift Working to Support and Help Others Chad Clift was raised to be helpful to his neighbors. His father taught him that working in the community and volunteering was some of the most honorable work one could do. Clift took this to heart. After returning to his hometown of Mossy Rock, Washington after he earned his Culinary Arts degree from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College in New York, he opened his own restaurant.
