Cleaning up your Startup Folder. Kathy Walsh, CCRI. Click Start, RUN. Type in MSCONFIG.EXE. Click the STARTUP tab. Click this tab for Startup files. Leave checkmarks on only the programs that MUST run on startup. Remove Checkmarks and click APPLY or OK and CLOSE.

  2. Click Start, RUN Type in MSCONFIG.EXE

  3. Click the STARTUP tab Click this tab for Startup files

  4. Leave checkmarks on only the programs that MUST run on startup.

  5. Remove Checkmarks and click APPLY or OK and CLOSE

  6. Restart Computer when prompted

  7. When the computer reboots, don’t PANIC when you see the following box. Click the check box and OK
