Preparation for Assignment #3 Customization of RosaryCopy-John Smith Website Using CSS in Dreamweaver Create a folder RosaryCopy – Your Name. Open your existing Rosary folder and copy all files and folders to the RosaryCopy – Your Name folder.
Open Dreamweaver and create a new site using the RosaryCopy – Your Name folder.
Expand your Local Files view in the bottom right corner Open your Intro page in your browser to make sure it works with the links.
In Dreamweaver double click on your Intro page. In the right panel of Dreamweaver there is a CSS STYLES tab. Make sure the All tab is selected below it and not Current. Double click on .twoColFixLtHdr #header
Click on Border Make the changes above, and click Apply. Note the changes in the right hand column for the properties of the CSS.
Check out the preview in your browser and click on your links. • Note that by modifying one CSS element, you have changed and updated all your pages. • This is why most of the web now uses CSS, it makes updating so much easier.
Now you can make the code simpler and the properties easier to read if you only apply the changes to the elements requires as below. Note that now the properties changed are only border-bottom-color value=#3f0, border-bottom-style=double and border-bottom-width=25px.
