Get to know them! • Time spent with a potential leader is an investment! • Listen • Take time to know people’s names, interests, strengths, hobbies, an families • Value their opinions • “People don’t care about what you know, until they know that you care.”

  15. Teach them to Set the Stage • Don’t just “wing it”- Prepare to present • Think about your personal stories • Choose the presentation, make sure it is duplicable • Practice, Drill, Rehearse!

  18. Non Verbal Communication • Your Dress, do you look the part? • How do you smell? • Posture? • Grooming • Hair • Nails What am I saying before I EVER open my mouth?

  20. #9 Follow Up with Your Leader • Make sure they get plugged in to emails, Newsletters etc. • Make sure they know about events • Contact them weekly for 1st year

  21. #10 Mastering the Art of Duplication • Stop asking “will this work?” • Start asking “will this duplicate?” • Make sure that WHATEVER it is you are doing, ANYONE else can do the same! • Keep it simple!
