  2. Introduction • Volcanoes get their name from the island of Vulcano in the Mediterranean sea. • A fiery stream of melted rocked called lava shoots out of a mountain.

  3. inside story • This theory is called plate boundaries. • The boundaries around the pacific ocean have many active volcanoes. • Earth formed, crust ,mantle, outer core, inner core.

  4. Volcanoes • Volcanoes are mountains that are built from eruptions. • Under pressure , the magma rises and burns through the crust in spots called vents.

  5. vOLCANOES • All volcanoes release gases during eruption. • The speed of these flows can reach 120 miles per hour. • Bombs are large blobs of lava that harden as they spin.
