Issue • The website’s search engine will only search for accessible torrents that are in 英語. • It fails to recognize torrents in the majority of top world languages. • This includes: ドイツ語，日本語、ロシア語、etc. • This issue prevents users from finding a wider range of materials and possibly not locating their desired file at all.

  3. Positive Results of Issue • Keeps the website simple. • Less need for maintenance means more income. • Easier to keep control of website’s content. • Can be ran with only one language (英語).

  4. Negative Results of Issue • Site users is limited to mostly 英語の母国語人たち. • Less beneficial for website’s income. • Lowers chances of future expansion • Lower amount of content accessible. • Non-English speakers will not be able to upload content in their language. • Keeps productivity of site low.

  5. Mininova’s Competition • Top 5 competitors • Bittorent • ThePirateBay • SumoTorrent • TorrentReactor • Isohunt – only mainstream torrent website that allows non-English searches.

Competitor Information • Mininova’s leading competition have the same language issue, except Isohunt. • Isohunt allowed its search engine to bring up content in many different languages. • This is why Isohunt is a leading torrent site. • However, these sites lack Mininova’s torrent comments that tell if a virus is present in the torrent.

  7. Solutions • Develop a multilanguage search engine for the site. • Partner with Isohunt. • Partner with a third party developer.
