  2. When did Nigeria gain independence? Nigeria gained independence on 1st October 1960. • How? As with most of the rest of the British Empire, by Act of Parliament. Once something has been worked out, the UK Parliament passed the Nigeria Independence Act 1960 which declared Nigeria to be independent.

  3. Has any member of our royal family visited recently? Your Queen lasted visited in January 28th – February 16th 1956. • The Nigerians used to sing the British National Anthem.

  4. Is the British Royal family popular in Nigeria? Yes, the British Royal family is popular in Nigeria.

  5. How easy is it to migrate to different countries? The Nigerians had to have a visa from the British Council commissioner but it normally arrives two/three days before departure. You can easily travel between different countries in Africa. All the ladies have visited England before this visit.
