  14. Differences Between each Graduation Class Class 2017—parents and students have to select a graduation notification. The form has been given to all 9th graders.

Early Graduation EGO • To qualify: • Students must be on track to graduate • Students must have passed the Reading FCAT and Algebra 1 EOC. • Students must complete an “Intent to graduate Early” form it is available on the website. • Students must meet with counselor to discuss and to fix schedule appropriately. • Please Consider the following: • Do you have a plan why you want to graduate early? • You can miss out scholarships.

ONLINE REQUIREMENT • VISIT WWW.FLVS.NET TO REGISTER • COURSE CAN BE ½ OR FULL CREDIT. • ½ CREDIT—CAN TAKE 18 WEEKS TO COMPLETE • 1 FULL CREDIT-CAN TAKE 36 WEEKS TO COMPLETE (full year) • Read the description of the course • Pick your favorite subject • Stay away from courses that require EOCs.

College $$$ • The average cost for published tuition and fees in a public two-year in-state college per year is $2,690 • The average cost for published tuition and fees in a public in-state four-year college or university per year is$8,240 • Average surcharge for full-time out-of-state students at these institutions is $20,770 per year • The average cost for published tuition and fees in a private four-year college per year is $28,500

  26. What should you know about Bright Futures • Application is open December 1st of their senior year. Current seniors will complete the application in their English classes in January. • Students must take ACT or SAT testing. • Students can start earning your Volunteer hours right now. Don’t wait for their senior year. Volunteer form is available in our website: http://lake.k12.fl.us/lmh; click on Guidance; click forms • The scholarships are reviewed every year by the state, so things can be changed. • The amount of the scholarship is not enough to pay full tuition at any college. Students need to apply for additional scholarships.

Scholarships • Most scholarships are for 12th graders at this time. • Scholarships are posted on our weekly website. www.lake.k12.fl.us/lmh • Students are informed by email weekly. • $$$$ is available for students to attend for free $$$$. • www.fastweb.com –all grade level can register to receive emails of scholarships.
