Awards and gifts • College-sponsored awards for students earning highest grades • Student Unions sponsor student leadership awards • Community donations provide awards and gifts • Faculty contribute to faculty award and nominate recipients
Student speakers • Highlight to every Recognition Day • Select student to tell their stories • Heart warming, honest, inspiring accounts of their journeys through Academic Upgrading

Other ways to recognize achievement • End of Orientation celebration • Level completions—wall of fame! • Levels set up with Units—short term goals • Many levels set up with “early success” assignments • 2 week planners help celebrate “good” weeks; set reasonable goals for next 2 weeks • Early acceptance bursary • Class representatives at SUCCI • SafeTALK Certification • Students selected for promotional materials—photos, profiles, guest speakers, panelists, members of focus groups etc
