Task Formal task of the M.017 group is to write ”Acceptable Means of Compliance / Guidance Material” to the Part M regulation following input from the community to NPA 07-2005” M.032 proposes Maint.&A/W issues to be adressed by M.017 M.017 to corelate with Part 21 & Part 66
Process Comment responses 423 ! (plus subgroups) Analysis of comment responses (unfortunately) Very much centered on gliding due to inputs received RIA of some special areas All comment responses carry same weight No question of representativity !

M.017 Group workings M.017 Group has been bogged down in processing of details (95% gliding) Group has basically been willing to be misused in this way due to composition of EA group (mainly gliding) Group has been steered away from the important strategic issues.

Statement It is not possible to create a useful set of modification regulations for recreational by ”Light” revisions / alterations to Part 21 For us Part 21 is NOT REPAIRABLE EASA & Industry (Eu.Airsports / EMF) must do something totally different Start with blank sheets, put EASA regulations aside ! Place responsibility of continuing airworthiness with TC holder and owner / pilot responsibility to implement according to his own good judgement. Look to Australia’s LSA regulations !
