NAPLAN 2010 • When – May 11th, 12th 13th • Where – BSDE or nominate a local school to sit the assessments • Who – encourage participation from all enrolled students • Exemption – must meet specific guidelines
Format of NAPLAN in Years 7 and 9 • Testing over the three days • Formal supervised tests • Separate tests for: Writing, Reading, Language conventions (grammar, punctuation and spelling) and Numeracy – With Calculator and Without Calculator • http://www.qsa.qld.edu.au/p-9/7972.html
QCAT • Queensland Comparable Assessment Tasks • Assessment tasks not tests • Undertaken under home-tutor supervision over a period of time • Key Learning Area – English, Maths and Science • Implemented in Term 3 • Year 6 and 9 students • Reported on A-E scale on Semester 2 report
