About Prezi • Prezi is a cloud-based presentation software. • Main feature: • Zoomable canvas • History: • Co-founder Adam Somlai-Fischer, architect and visual artist, making zooming presentations on his own since 2001. • In 2007, Budapest University of Technology professor Peter Halacsy convinced Adam to develop an editor so that anyone could make zooming presentations. • Prezi was launched in April 2009 from Budapest, leading to investments from TED Conferences and Sunstone Capital. The San Francisco office was established in November 2009. • Over 10 million people are using Prezi (May 2012): • Around one million new users every month. • A recent funding round of $14 million from Accel Partners. • The company claims to be cashflow positive from the first year of operation.
