The Cub Scout Promise I, (name) promise to do my best to do my duty to God and my country, to help other people, and to obey the Law of the Pack.

The Cub Scout & Webelos Den Leaders: • Give leadership to their Den program planning • Plan, prepare, and run their Den meetings • Lead their Dens at pack events • Work with Pack leadership to ensure Den success • Participate in Pack program planning • Supported by • Cubmaster • Pack Committee
The Tiger Cub Den Leader: • Helps the Den get organized • Gives leadership to Den program planning • Shares leadership with adult partners • Works with other Pack leaders • Participates in Pack program planning • Supported by • Cubmaster • Pack Committee

The Advancement Method • Encouragement and recognition of achievement • Grade-related and progressive • An asset or “tool” for parents • Role of parents changes as boys mature • In Tiger Cubs, parents are “adult partners” • In Wolf & Bear Cub years, parents work with the boys • In Webelos Scouting, parents help with advancement while “counselors” do the actual approving
