To Grow Must Have Good Health Colossians 3:5-10 Get rid of immorality, impurity, etc. Ephesians 4:17-24 We must “lay aside the old self…” 1 Peter 2:1-2 If we are to “grow in respect to salvation,” we must be “putting aside all malice and all guile…” Romans 6:23 “The wages of sin is death.” Hebrews 10:26 “For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.”
To Grow Must Have Good Food 1 Peter 2:1-2 “Like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.” Matthew 4:4 ”Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Hebrews 5:11-14 Psalm 1:2-3 speaks of one whose “delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law he meditates day and night.”
To Grow Must Have Good Exercise In Galatians 5:6, Paul described the Christian life as “faith working through love.” The Christian life is certainly something we do, and we grow and improve by doing more of what God has called us to do. 1 Timothy 4:7 “Exercise yourself toward godliness.” v8 says, “For bodily exercise profits little, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”

Clean out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump...” When the people of Israel were given the promised land of Canaan, they were ordered to drive out the heathens. Solomon chose to marry numerous heathen wives, and they led him away from being faithful to the Lord.
