  1. 8th Grade Health Drug Group Project

  2. Directions • Each group will be assigned a drug category and will have the option of completing either a PowerPoint or Pamphlet which showcases their knowledge and understanding of the particular drug • The group will do a brief 3-5 minute presentation at the end to share their information with the class

  3. Groups • Each group will have 3 students per group (students have the option of working alone if desired.) • Each group will be assigned one of the following category: • Alcohol Cocaine • Marijuana LSD / PCP • Inhalants Steroids • Heroin Ecstasy (MDMA)

  4. Directions • Must include drug classification (depressant, stimulant, etc.) • List physical effects & physiological effects • Must include short-term & long-term effects • Scientific name & Street names • Medical use (if any) • How it enters the body & different forms (example cocaine & crack cocaine) • At least 3 different statistics • Pictures, pictures, pictures!

  6. Due Date • Presentations (as of now) will be on Tuesday April 24th for even days & Monday April 23rd for odd days.
