  7. Stakeholder Interviews • Team split into three separate groups • Six individuals interviewed • One representative of Via Mobility • Three individuals from overlapping populations (elderly) • Two individuals living with a disability • Rheumatoid Arthritis • Legally Blind

  8. Gaps Analysis • Service Provider Analysis • Access-A-Cab • Access-A-Ride (RTD) • RTD • Via Mobility

  9. Via only during business hours and on one weekend day- issue for those who work • Concerns of being stranded- service times largely spaced apart • Physically capable yet still disabled- issue for those who are impaired but do not qualify • Stop elimination- stop on only one side of street prevents usage Gaps Analysis

  10. Gaps Analysis • RTD bus stops acceptable; surrounding sidewalks inaccessible for handicap access. • RTD features ≠ disabled populations needs- senior home night stops • Lack of handicap cross walk safety amenities in Boulder- minimal buttons • BIGGEST GAP- lack of interregional transportation options and knowledge- Longmont least served

  11. Recommendations • Increase accessibility to underserved areas such as Longmont and rural Boulder County • Extend hours of service for individuals who work • Expand Access-A-Ride qualifications • Identify physical barriers to bus stops • Improve awareness when moving a bus stop • Improve methods of communication, especially for the visually impaired
