Energy Competition • Friendly energy competition between schools that will recognize facilities with the most energy consumption reduction quarterly • School’s Energy Steering Group Coordinator will assist to help educate students and staff on ways to reduce energy • Tentative Start Date – Jan 2014

Energy Star Program • ENERGY STAR • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency • Portfolio Manager Rating System • Measures Energy Efficiency • 1- 100 Score • Target is 75 >

Energy Star Program • Energy Star Certification • 30 Schools Scored • Eight >75 Rating for EPA’s Energy Star • Brooke Point & Colonial Forge High Schools • Dixon-Smith & HH Poole Middle Schools • Hampton Oaks, Margaret Brent, Park Ridge, & Winding Creek Elementary Schools • Certification Pending
