Exodus 19:5,6God Is Speaking Before The Law • 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine: • 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

  3. These words repeated in N.T.God’s Ideal Plan of Propagation • 1 Peter 2:9 “But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Moses reiterates the same sentiment • 70 Elders chosen to assist Moses • Numbers 11:27 And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp. • 11:28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, [one] of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them. • 11:29 And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD'S people were prophets, [and] that the LORD would put his spirit upon them! • At the end time God will speak to every person as a prophet • The coming Pentecost will be awesome.

How was everyone to be a Priest in Old Testament times? • Ex. 23:10 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof: • Ex. 23:11 But the seventh [year] thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, [and] with thy oliveyard.

  8. The Seventh Year • 25:4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

A NATION OF PRIESTS • EXODUS 19:6 A kingdom of priests and a holy nation • 1 Peter 2:9 Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation • This is a direct quote from Exodus – same idea. • Every 7th year the Israelites were free from farming – a time to share • This was the first message at Mount Sinai
