  3. 2. A Sad Example:How the naïve fall into sin emphasizing the behavior that leads to adultery, vs. 6-23.

  4. 1. The role of the man,vs. 6-9.2. The role of the woman, vs. 10-21.

  5. Vs. 18,Instead of drinking the cup of the Lord at the love feast, (1 Cor 11), Satan wants you to be satiated with sin, human good and evil.

  6. Vs. 19,As vs. 6 introduced God the Father, vs. 19, introduces God the Son.

  7. As 1 Sam 9 and 10 speak of the lost donkeys that will be found, our Lord was lost, (i.e., rejected by His people, died, rose and ascended). Yet, He will be found at His 2nd Advent.

  8. Jesus was the “Husband” of Israel, Isa 54:5; Jer 31:32; Hosea 2:16 and is the husband of the Church, Eph 5:31-32; Rev 19:7-9a.

  9. Eph 5:31-32“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 32This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.”

  10. “Gone on a Long Journey.”In the analogy of Joseph, when Jesus presented himself to his brothers, (1st Advent), they killed him and he was gone, ascended as we know. Cf. Gen 37:18

  11. It speaks of our Lord being seated at the right hand of the Father during the Church Age, and Satan trying to convince the world He will not return, or does not exist.

  12. Vs. 20,“Bag of Silver” – TSEROR KESEPHRepresents our sins being carried and paid for by Christ on the Cross providing for our Redemption.

  13. KESEPH“Atonement money”Ex 30:16 “Redemption money” Num 3:49 “Guilt and Sin Offerings” 2 Kings 12:16

  14. To purchase mankind from the slave market of sin, Jesus took upon Himself all of our offenses or sins.

  15. 1 Peter 1:18-19, “Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.”

  16. “At the full moon he will come home.”This is speaking of our Lord’s 2nd Advent which will occur on the Feast of Tabernacles.Lev 23:33-43

  17. This was one of the three “high” holidays for Israel in which all the males would have to appear before the Lord at the Temple. Deut 16:13-16

  24. First Fruits Rapture Millennium Second Advent 7 Feasts of Israel.

  25. 1) Passover, 1-day feast, commemorating the last plague against Egypt and freedom from slavery. Also the passing over of sins until the perfect sacrifice was made, Lev 23:4 ff.

  26. Fulfilled by Jesus’ Death on the Cross, 1 Cor 5:7.

  27. 2) Feast of Unleavened Bread, 7-day feast commemorating the removal of sin, Lev 23:6.

  28. Fulfilled by Christ’s burial and time spent in the grave. 1 Cor 5:7-8

  29. 3) Feast of First Fruits, 7-day feast commemorating the first spring harvest and logical grace blessings from God, Lev 23:9.

  30. Fulfilled by Christ’s resurrection, 1 Cor 15:23.

  31. 4) Feast of Pentecost, commemorating the 2nd Spring harvest and the peace made between sinful man and perfect God, Lev 23:15.

  32. Fulfilled by Christ by His sending of the Holy Spirit to Indwell every Church Age believer, Acts 2:1-5.

  33. Fall Feast of Israel yet to be fulfilled by Christ at His 2nd Advent.

  34. 5) Feast of Trumpets(Yom Teruah / Rosh Hashanah), 1-day feast ushering in the civil New Year, Lev 23:23.

  35. Yet to be fulfilled at the Exit Resurrection or Rapture of the Church, 1 Cor 15:52; 1 Thes 1:10; 4:13-18.

  36. 6) Day of Atonement, (Yom Kippur), 1-day feast where atonement for sins were made for the family, Lev 23:26.

  37. Yet to be fulfilled by Christ’s Second Advent, 1 John 2:2, Zech 12:7-14, 14:4, Mat 24:29-31, Rev 1:7, 19.

  38. 7) Feast of Tabernacles, 7-day feast, commemorating Israel’s release from Egypt where they wandered in the wilderness and the Lord dwelt among them in the tabernacle, Lev 23:33.

  39. Yet to be fulfilled when Christ sets up His Millennial reign on earth and tabernacles / dwells among us once again, Zech 14:16, John 7:8.

  40. Grace OfferingEx 23:19, “You shall bring the choice first fruits of your soil into the house of the LORD your God.”
