John 16:6,“But because I have said (taught) to you all these things, sorrow (inwardstress) has completely filled your heart (right lobe of the soul).”
1. OC is the ultimate perspective, function and experience of the Christian Way of Life. It is the only answer to unrealistic expectations, Phil 3:7-10.
Vs. 7; OC straightens out your priorities. Many people have inordinate ambition and are looking for success.
Vs. 8; This is love for Christ = OC. Paul as a visible hero had reached the peak of human success and achievement in Judaism.
Vs. 9; The demonstration of our positional sanctification is OC. Most believers think its morality but they are wrong. God intends for us to develop virtue, something much higher than morality.
Vs. 10; This means you come to understand who and what Christ is by putting together all the doctrine you have ever learned.
The utilization of Divine omnipotence during the Church Age is the basis for the manufacture of invisible heroes, and is also the basis for coming to the point of OC.
2. Occupation with Christ means waiting imminently for His Second Coming.
Imminency means impending or threatening to occur immediately. It does not mean immediately.
The term Rapture is a theological technical term describing the Resurrection of the Church (the Body of Christ), at the conclusion of the Church Age, 1 Cor 15:20, 23-24, 51-57; 1 Thes 4:13-18.
No prophecy has to be fulfilled before the Rapture occurs. The Rapture will occur when the last member of the body of Christ is saved.
The resurrection of the Church is totally beyond our control because resurrection is the Lord’s victory. 1 Cor 15:57, “Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
While the Rapture is imminent, the Second Advent is not. Before the Second Advent occurs, there are many prophecies which must occur.
The Second Advent is part of the overall prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27. There is now 1 week of prophecy to be fulfilled.

Titus 2:13, “Waiting with keen anticipation for that blessed hope (Rapture), even the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.”
The imminency of the Rapture is a doctrine for mature believers. He is eager for the Rapture, not as part of escapism from the problems and details of life, but to eagerly serve Him with great expectation every day because he is so OC.
