In Memory of Koke By Josh and Christie
One of the happiest days of our lives. This was taken as we left the adoption agency with him. He was a present to Christie on our two year wedding anniversary.
Koke was a big part of our lives. He was a great first dog. We enjoyed having him around for holidays.
Every Christmas he would retrieve presents from his stocking. (From our first Christmas with him.)
He preferred when his presents were wrapped in bags, so he could retrieve them himself. (From our first Christmas with him.)

But, sometimes he enjoyed a gift to play with.(Notice the ball in mid-air. He didn’t catch it…)
He would help Christie unwrap her presents as well.(From his last Christmas with us.)

We celebrated his first birthday with us on the same day as Christie’s graduation party for her first Master’s.
Occasionally, he would dress up for holidays. Here, he played a reindeer at the Christmas gift wrapping.
He dressed up for St. Patrick’s Day, thanks to a racing jersey Christie made for him.
With his jersey on, he marched in the 2005 Houston St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown. The greyhounds won for best animal group.
He even wore a skirt as part of a Halloween costume contest, despite having an injured leg.
One of his favorite things to do was to just lounge around the house.
He was always willing to share his space with others, whether it be one of his cousins.

Unfortunately, Koke only lived to be 8 years old.The remaining pictures were all taken the last few weeks he was with us.
We miss you Koke, and we love you.Koke Matthew (May 1999 – January 2008)
