CONTENTS • INTRODUCTION • WORKING PRINCIPLE • CONSTRACTION • ADVANTAGES • DISADVANTAGES • CONCLUSION
INTRODUCTION • A Solar Panel is a packaged interconnected assembly of solar cells • A Solar roadway is a road surface that generates electricity by solar power photovoltaics.
WORKING PRINCIPLE • Daylight produces electricity using a solar cell. This charges a battery. At night the battery powers the flashing unit.
CONSTRUCTION OF PANEL Existing prototype panels consist of three layers • Road surface layer • Electronics layer • Base plate layer
ADVANTAGES • Renewability and life-span • Military and rescue assistance • Roadways already in place • On-the-go charging
DISADVANTAGES • Costly • In-road electric vehicle charger • Solar-charged vehicle • Photovoltaic system • Solar cell
CONCLUSION • The Renewable energy replaces the need for the current fossil fuels used for the generation of electricity, which cuts greenhouse gases and helps in sustainable development.
