Safety Mission Statement The Lee Group recognizes that our people drive the business. As the most critical resource, employees will be safeguarded through training, provision of appropriate work surroundings, and procedures that foster protection of health and safety. All work conducted by The Lee Group’s employees will take into account the intent of this policy. No duty, no matter what its perceived result, will be deemed more important than employee health and safety.

Injury Reporting All work-related injuries must be reported to your supervisor AND The Lee Group, immediately. Failure to immediately report injuries can result in loss of Workers’ Compensation benefits. After each medical appointment resulting from a work-related injury, you must contact The Lee Group to discuss your progress. You must also give The Lee Group any paperwork that you received at the appointment.
Transitional Work The Lee Group provides Transitional Return to Work (light duty) jobs for persons injured at work. Transitional work is meant to allow the injured employee to heal under a doctor’s care while she/he remains productive. Employees are required to return to work immediately upon release.

Expectations • It’s not just our expectation that you be at work, it’s that you be at work ON TIME. • It’s not just our expectation that you do the job, it’s that you do the job RIGHT • You represent our firm at all times – we expect you to behave appropriately as our employee.
Attendance • Present and Prompt If you are going to be late or absent, The Lee Group needs as much notice as possible. • Leaving Work Early If you must leave work during the day, The Lee Group must be notified as far in advance as possible, even if it’s after hours.
Conduct While on Assignment • Visitors - Associates are not allowed to have friends or family visit them while at work. • Personal Calls, Mail and Belongings – Cell phones must be completely turned off if not left in your car or locker. All emergency calls are to be directed to your Staffing Manager and he/she will then contact you at work. • Personal Appointments - Appointments are to be scheduled around work hours if at all possible. Appointments must be approved by your client supervisor and your Lee Group Staffing Manager at least one week prior. • E-mail - As business property, associates do not have any personal privacy rights in any material created, received or sent from the e-mail system.
Leaving A Job • ALWAYS CALL The Lee Group! • Unhappy on current assignment • Accept another position • NEVER • Just walk off the job • Just stop reporting to work
Availability • Call the availability line a minimum of twice a week to make yourself available for work. • Name, Full SSN, phone # • Newport News Office – 240-4541 • Chesapeake Office – 240-4550
Call the office when…. • Phone number changes • Address changes • If you are no longer available for work • Vacations • Appointments
Dress Code • Industrial – Dress with safety in mind. • No loose clothing • No jewelry hanging • Each assignment may have different requirements as far as dress code • Clerical – Follow client specific guidelines • Each employer may have different guidelines • Business casual, business, or casual depending upon the company
Safety Equipment • Shoes - Steel toed, work boots, closed toe shoes, rubber soled shoes, no heels • Eye protection – goggles, glasses, side shields, glasses with side shields. • Hearing Protection – Ear plugs • Hard hat • Gloves • Hair net • Beard net • Back Brace
Returning Issued Items • If you end an assignment and the client or The Lee Group has issued property to you (shirts, badges, safety equipment … ) your check will be held until you return the issued equipment. If the property is not returned the replacement cost will be deducted from your pay.
Payroll • Pay week – Sunday - Saturday • Timecards • Signed by client • Signed by YOU • WRITE LEGIBLY • PUT YOUR FULL SSN on card! • Fax or email to the OFFICE by Noon on Monday • Payday is Friday
Receiving Your Pay • Have your paycheck mailed • OR • Direct Deposit your funds though a bank or a credit union. Checking Account Savings Account Pay Cards • We do not hand out paper checks.
Direct Deposit info • Takes ten business days or 2 pay periods to take effect after receipt of your properly completed direct deposit form (no faxes accepted) • Check stubs are emailed. Employees must send blank reply weekly to payroll to continue the weekly pay advice via email.
Associate Benefits • Holidays – After 960 hours • Vacation – After 1600 hours • Major Medical Insurance – Available through ASA – see your handbook for more details.
Qualified employees are eligible to receive holiday pay for the following holidays. New Years Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Holiday Pay Employee must have accumulated 960 hours in the previous 12 months, and must have accumulated 80 hours in the past 30 days, in addition to having worked the scheduled day before and the scheduled day after the holiday.
