  3. What do we do? • Provide pharmacy services for all studies where study drug is provided for a TGH patient. • We can also help with other studies at the request of the PI. • We are capable of storing drug under many conditions (room temp, refrig, freezer, deep freeze, liquid nitrogen, etc).

  4. What do we do? • We prepare drugs for dispensing . • We follow GCP. • We comply with all specific study requirements. • We host study monitors, tours for site selection, SIV, etc. • We provide drug information of any nature. Drug information can be found on all TGH PC’s (micromedex, up to date, google)

  5. How do we do it? • Since we serve many services and people we must maintain a calendar that we tend to on a daily basis. • Please “invite us” when you are scheduling a patient for a visit that includes drug dispensing. • Please give us as much notice as possible to attend meetings, SIV’s , etc • We have to prioritize “who was first”

  6. Revised Research Information Sheet • Exciting News! I am in the process of working with the OCR to combine the “Drug Data Sheet” and the “Research Information Sheet” into one document. • This will eliminate duplicated information. • I am attending an EPIC group meeting to discuss where this “Revised Research Information Sheet” will reside in the EPIC system.

  7. EPIC! • We build (or assist) research ordersets. • When do you need an orderset? • When an inpatient is going to receive a study drug. The study drug is not orderable unless an orderset is written. • What are other reasons to request an orderset? • Any situation can benefit from an EPIC orderset.
