Security licence is basically of 2 types: Certificate II in Security Operations: This is the basic certification for all the newcomers in security field. The basic knowledge about the security operations are dealt in this course. Once entitled to this certification a candidate is subjected to perform the basic security operations. It is 102 hours course including classroom and training period. The validity of this certification is from 1-5 years Certificate III in Security Operations: This certification helps people to get armed security licence. This is not a compulsory but is meant for those who wish to enhance their skills. In order to attain this the candidate must possess certificate II in security operations. With this licence one is able to become transit officer, security team leader, and security manager.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must be 18 years or older. Candidate should not have any criminal record. Candidate should have basic educational qualification. Candidate must clear all identification points. Candidate should have successfully completed the training course.
Course Structure: The course has been divided into five Modules and needs to be completed, module by module. If a student failed to attend the first day of the course or do not complete Module-1, he/she is not permitted to continue the course and must enrol in a future course. If a student missed any suggested learning hours or assessment of any module, must rejoin a future course for that particular Module. Mod-1, Mod-2, Mod-3 & Mod -4 need to be completed before being permitted to undertake the Closed Book Exam Module 5.
