  2. About Security Licence Security officer licence will be the best choice for those who want a great career in the security field. Security licence in your resume will help you to stand out in crowd. It provides you with basic security training and after passing these courses, you will surely feel improvement in yourself. Professional security licence enables you to get necessary qualifications. Security officer requires field working experience therefore different security licence are being offered by various institutions.

  3. Security licence is basically of 2 types: Certificate II in Security Operations: This is the basic certification for all the newcomers in security field. The basic knowledge about the security operations are dealt in this course. Once entitled to this certification a candidate is subjected to perform the basic security operations. It is 102 hours course including classroom and training period. The validity of this certification is from 1-5 years Certificate III in Security Operations: This certification helps people to get armed security licence. This is not a compulsory but is meant for those who wish to enhance their skills. In order to attain this the candidate must possess certificate II in security operations. With this licence one is able to become transit officer, security team leader, and security manager.

Who require this Licence You will require this licence if you intend to work in the security industry in NSW in these fields: Patrolling, protecting or guarding any property while unarmed Acting as a bodyguard Acting as a crowd controlled Patrolling, protecting or guarding any property with a dog Carrying on monitoring centre operations Patrolling, protecting or guarding a property while armed

  5. Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must be 18 years or older. Candidate should not have any criminal record. Candidate should have basic educational qualification. Candidate must clear all identification points. Candidate should have successfully completed the training course.

  6. Course Structure: The course has been divided into five Modules and needs to be completed, module by module. If a student failed to attend the first day of the course or do not complete Module-1, he/she is not permitted to continue the course and must enrol in a future course. If a student missed any suggested learning hours or assessment of any module, must rejoin a future course for that particular Module. Mod-1, Mod-2, Mod-3 & Mod -4 need to be completed before being permitted to undertake the Closed Book Exam Module 5.
