Reporting Tool • The tool is a based on the ‘Reporting format’. It has been designed in conjunction with the EEA • The reporting tool is…. • A desktop application • Based on Access versions 2003, 2007 & 2010 • Contains all reference material in built (look up tables) • has a series of tables • With a ‘mask’ for entering the data • National data coordinators will have extra ‘permissions’
Reporting Tool • The reporting tool will allow • Edit data (format, checklists) • Store data • Import data • Merge datasets from different reporters • Validate the data (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) • Export data
Reporting Tool • There is a tool for Article 12 and a tool for Article 17 inaddition there is a tool designed to create the Range • Thursday: Article 12, Birds Reporting • Friday: Article 17, Habitat Directive

CDR ReportNet • CDR Report Net is THE place for the delivery of data (tabular & spatial) • National coordinators need to ensure they have a login and associated access rights, only they will be allowed upload data • Tabular data is to be uploaded as xml (the reporting tool has a function to do this) • Data is subjected to an initial QA/QC check
CDR ReportNet • Data is not visible until the envelope is ‘released’ • Once the envelope is ‘released’ the data is public • The date of ‘Releasing’ the envelope is treated as the ‘delivery’ date, if you don’t release the data is not deemed to be delivered. • Communication will be via CDR (comment section on the envelope) • Data will be downloaded from the envelope for subsequent analysis • The Second delivery (if necessary) will take place via CDR
