1. Story Boards Important Items for a Rich Digital Story: Things to consider for each item: What will your pictures be of and how will they bring your piece to life? What items will you showcase and/ or document? Who will we interview and what will we ask them? Why? How can I best explain and showcase my point? What is my point? Who am I trying to reach? Who will see this? What’s my point- do I answer the “So what?” of my digital story? • Pictures • What do we want to document? • Interviews? • What are you trying to articulate? What do you want to say about your topic with more than words? • Audience? • Message?

2. If this were my digital story on… The changes we need to see in education ASAP! My Important Items: What I’m considering… Pictures of students, our school, students working, teachers teaching , collaborating, and interacting with students and other professionals, historical pictures of teachers/ students (maybe a timeline?). Current headlines from the newspaper and educational journals, music, perhaps audio clips . I want to show what’s going right and what’s going wrong in education right here and now and discuss what needs to change immediately. Students, Parents, Arnie Duncan (the Secretary of Education), Administrators, Tax Payers, the PTSO, the Superintendent, Congress, etc. Not everything that we are doing is working. What are we waiting for to make positive changes? How can we make some of the laws and standards regarding education in this state more realistic and up to date? • Pictures • Items for documentation • Interviews • What I’m trying to articulate, put into words and images… • Audience • Message
