  2. Mastering Jiu-Jitsu requires honing of various basic techniques. “My friend is a blue belt. Can I try it on him?” We often get those requests where people share their ordeal of getting pinned by their peers in the training academy. If you’re one of those, you’re probably reading the right thing to find out what’s wrong. As a part of Brazilian JiuJitsu beginner training, you should try & hone your basic skills rather than being feisty to take on an opponent. That’s a great mistake most of the beginners commit. Here, we discuss 4 most important techniques for the BJJ beginners.

  3. Guard replacement with hip escape • Your hip movements for escape will help you create an angle while your opponent is past your guard and loses balance when you utilize your power of the legs. Exercising this technique turns you better at hip escape and bridging. • Triangle choke from guard • Don’t put hasty trials in this. If your opponent has a strong defense posture, you’ll surely fail. This versatile option should only be applied when you find your opponent in a weaker posture. Just use your legs flexibly to attack and choke. • Cross collar choke from guard • This black and white Brazilian technique is a classic of closed guard strategy. Strengthen your way to grip your opponent’s collar and head to break their posture. Not getting it “deep” will leave you at a weaker end. • Straight armbar from guard • This is one of the epic moves of Brazilian JiuJitsu self defense training! You need to perfect your hip movements if you are on the bottom, otherwise, you will get easily passed off your guard.
