Cheese Spirit Night May 2nd – Seussical / Barnes & Noble Field Trip May 3rd – Briarwood Derby May 23rd – Last Day of School What We Did This Week… Reading The Art Lesson Writing Started Cursive & Theme 5 Common Assessment Theme Map Skills Math Graphing Safety City We had soooo much fun at Safety City. Thank you to all those who volunteered!!! Seussical Field Trip Permission slips went home earlier this week for our field trip. Please get those signed and returned as soon as possible. Remember the cost is $10 so please send that in as well. STAR Testing You will find your child’s STAR reading and math scores in your child’s folder. Please let me know if you have any questions. I was very proud of everyone! Briarwood Derby ONLY 14 CREATING DAYS LEFT UNTIL DERBY!! You received information about how to create your Derby Horses and Jockey Silks before Spring Break! Please be working on these! We will need to know your horse’s name Monday, so that we can print programs for the Derby. This is a very big deal here at Briarwood and something that 2nd graders look forward to! Mrs. Morton will contact you soon about the reception that follows for families. Mrs. Boyer’s Friday NotesApril 19th, 2013 FRIDAY “DRESS UP” DAYS (to get our school excited for testing) Friday, April 26 - "Rest Your Brain!” Wear your favorite PJ’s! Thursday, May 2 - "Exercise Your Brain!” Wear your favorite sports gear/workout clothes! Friday, May 3rd– DERBY DAY Friday, May 19 - "Party like a Rock star" Because you Rocked the TEST! Dress like your favorite rock star/pop star! Hot Rods Tickets Game tickets for students who completed the Book Buddies Program with the BG Hot Rods will have tickets at Will Call for the game they indicated on their form. If any parent ordered extra tickets, they can also be picked up at Will Call. If parents are unsure as to what game they indicated on the form, they may call the BG Hot Rod Ticket Office to confirm.
