1. DRAWING WITH CHILDREN The class provides a fun, safe, non-critical environment for children when learning to draw to build their confidence and excitement in drawing. The lessons provide a systematic way to stimulate the normal human response of drawing by developing building blocks of visual perception, visual organization, and visual discrimination by learning to draw. These skills are transferred through the brain to accomplish tasks of mathematics, reading, and spelling. Taught by Desi Nelson, artist, teacher, and parent for over 24 years. Classes are held at Mrs. Nelson’s home studio at 81 Dogwood, Carson, near grade school and middle school.
