Course Designs Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) Prevention Focus • The purpose of these courses is to introduce students to the evolution of the substance abuse prevention field, and the basis for current practices. Students will learn key elements in prevention programming, current models of prevention, as well as identifying needs central to specific populations. • Students will also be instructed in identifying and accessing resources concentrating on alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention strategies. The course further provides an understanding of personal and professional responsibilities in promoting healthy lifestyles.

You may work with a local group or coalition to develop your proposal.
