  2. FIRE SAFETY • Basically there are five type of fire and for each different fire extinguishers used for each type of fire. As mention below. 1. A CLASS 2. B CLASS 3. C CLASS 4. D CLASS 5. E CLASS

  3. A CLASS • SOLID FIRE Fire in wood,paper,plastic,fabric etc. are consider as A Class of fire • Fire Extinguisher used for this type of fire Water,CO2,DCP,AFFF,ABC Dry Powder,Halon

  4. B CLASS • LIQUID FIRE Fire in Flammable liquid, oil, paint, petrol etc. are consider as B Class of fire • Fire Extinguisher used for this type of fire CO2,DCP,AFFF,ABC Dry Powder,Halon

  5. C CLASS • GAS FIRE Fire in Flammable Gas, CNG, Welding gas, electric equipment etc. are consider as C Class of fire • Fire Extinguisher used for this type of fire CO2,DCP,ABC Dry Powder,Halon

  6. D CLASS • Metal FIRE Fire in Flammable Metal, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium etc. are consider as D Class of fire • Fire Extinguisher used for this type of fire DCP,ABC Dry Powder.

  7. E CLASS • Electric FIRE Fire in Electric and Electronic equipment etc. are consider as E Class of fire • Fire Extinguisher used for this type of fire DCP,ABC Dry Powder,CO2,Halon.

  8. Safety Training • Emergency and Fire Drill Procedure 1. First and most there must be alarm system for any Fire Drill and real emergency 2.Than after fire safety officer and safety department or security guard have to inform to the fire bridged.

  9. 3. For fire safety, trained people have to inform to the fire bridged about the fire. 4.In fire drill and emergency each and every staff member should have to take their stock and deposit it to the stock in charge outside.

  10. 5. When alarm start than every department should be close and department in charge or the person who was train for fire fighting having responsibility to take out each and every person from the department as soon as possible safely. And after that department in charge have to take current stock copy and other important document with him, close each and every door and window and leave the department at last.

  11. 6. Minimize the use of lift while fire accurse and if in emergency you have to use the lift than follow the emergency rules for using the lift mention by safety department. While using the lift first of all handicap and ladies staff should be remove.

  12. 7. When alarm start each and every staff member should have to come out from the department as soon as possible. Than after train people should have to try to put off the fire.

  13. 8. If fire safety officer or safety manager is not present than take help of department having knowledge of such a fire safety procedure. Department In charge, account department and HRD are also responsible for such a situation.

  14. 9. Each and every staff member should not enter in to the department until information given by that department. 10.This procedure is used for any emergency life fire, Bomb, earth quack etc.

  15. Procedure to save handicap • Handicap person In case of emergency try to explain the critical situation to handicap person and take out him from emergency exit. • While walking with handicap person if supporting person found any difficulty than he should have to suggest to handicap person for easy escape. • After successfully escape help the needed person.

  16. Deft person • While alarm start deft person can not hear the alarm for that other method used. Two of them are given below 1. Inform by writing. 2. Inform bye switch ON/OFF or By physical sign.

  17. Uninjured person • If Uninjured person is at ground floor than he/she can easily escape without any help. • Many person who don’t want to move from their place or unable to move having major lose by fire.

  18. A person who is unable to walk than other should have to give importance to such a person. Like • How to put down such a person from wheel chair. • The no. of person going to help him/her. • Remove chair seat while put down of that person from chair. • Take him/her at stair. • Put down them from wheelchair with care. e.g. To take out them from car seat or any other place you need more help.

  19. The person having electric wheel chair inform them to make distance from short circuit or fire took place by electric smoke because they have problem to breath. • If you put wheel chair at your back than be sure that it will not create problem to other people. • Take help of more person for escaping such a person while the no. of floor are more than three.

  20. Procedure for escape of handicap or wheel chair person • Such a person have to reach the place where EXIT return. And first priority is given to such a person to use the lift. • After reaching at stair such a person have to take help of the other person. • After totally escape each and every person must have to reach the mention location outside the premises and make count down of every one. After counting if any one is not their than inform to fire fighter and after that person reached inform the same to the fire fighter too.
