Theme Passage 1 Cor 8 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods & many lords), 6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, & we for Him; & one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, & through whom we live.
1) God reveals Himself as One- Mark 12:29-32 God 29 Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

God is not a customizable piece of our life. He has the right & ability to make Himself known to us and has told us that He is unique, the only God.
Deut 32 39 See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death & I bring to life, I have wounded & I will heal, & no one can deliver out of my hand.

From the unity of scientific laws we see there is one God, from the gasping at the beauty of creation we see there is one God, from the collective desire for love we see there is one God, from the vast array of opinions about God we see there are many men.

Worship is an expression of reverence, our belief in God’s power, deity, position, and title.
To give worship to anyone (or anything) but Him is to say that He is merely one among many rather than holy and altogether unique.
